Hello and thank you for visiting my page! My name is Nikita, I'm a professional birth, postpartum & portrait photographer based in Somerset. My main area of interest is birth and postpartum photography, but I also adore working with families, capturing those precious memories.

Birth & Postpartum Photography

Inspired by the birth of my son,I began the journey of postpartum photography in 2022. I quickly became passionate about the topic which soon progressed to exploring birth photography.

Portrait Photography 

What makes my portrait sessions unique is they take place on location using natural light, rather than within a studio. I feel that this approach allows me to really explore my creativity and capture moments as they happen. It also creates a relaxing and enjoyable experience for my clients and is especially useful when photographing children.

A Little More About Me

My passion for photography began around 2010, shortly after beginning my studies in Art & Design. Unsure of where I wanted to progress after college, I began working full-time in administration while offering photoshoots in my spare time. Five years later, I decided to quit my job and return to education to study photography, working towards a Foundation Degree. ​Shortly after graduating, the world was turned upside down with the spread of Covid-19. This meant I had to temporarily stop offering photography services and I began working for a local farming family. About a year later, I fell pregnant with my first child. Following maternity leave and the world returning somewhat normal, I decided this was a good time to begin rebuilding my photography business. I'll be honest; working alongside being a full-time stay at home parent is challenging, but so rewarding.
