Birth Photography

Inspired by my own birth experience and The Postpartum Project, I quickly developed a passion for all things birth. I'm in complete awe of the strength of a woman and what our bodies endure. I have now begun my journey of birth photography and I couldn't be more excited! So what does birth photography include?

- Complimentary maternity shoot (includes 10 images via email)

- On call from week 38 of your pregnancy

- Photo coverage from labour - 2 hours after birth

- All images included

- 10% discount if a model release form is signed (I will always double check images with you before sharing).

While I continue to build my portfolio, I am offering birth photography at an introductory price of £550.

Postpartum Sessions

Postpartum sessions take place within the comfort of your own home. Images are presented on a beautiful smooth touch USB stick. Options to upgrade the package to include other products such as photo books are available. A quote for these will be provided depending on your requirements.

Pricing

Postpartum sessions are priced at £195 (including all images on USB) within 10 miles of Shepton Mallet, Somerset. There may be a small mileage charge for locations outside of this radius (please enquire for details). ​

The Finer Details

How are these sessions different to newborn photography? 

The point of The Postpartum Project was to focus on the honest experience felt by mother and baby. I aim to carry over this approach through postpartum sessions, although your baby will feature more heavily in the images in comparison to the project (think lifestyle newborn photography). 

 

The beauty of these sessions is it can be inclusive of newborn photography, for example; I can spend some time documenting the beautifully mundane family moments followed by some time dedicated to your newborn. Then, we could move on to focusing entirely on you. Perhaps you had a cesarean and you would like some photographs of your scar, or maybe you have a beautiful linea nigra that you would like captured before it fades. Sessions are designed to be relaxed and you can go as far as you feel comfortable with.
